The role of L-lysine in the human body and its function in food additives:
1. Physiological effects: L-lysine is mainly used for protein synthesis in the human body, and is also involved in various biosynthetic pathways, such as muscle growth, calcium absorption, etc.
2. Nutritional requirements: L-lysine is an essential amino acid that must be taken in through diet because the human body cannot synthesize it on its own.
3. Food additive function: As a food additive, L-lysine is mainly used to enhance the protein content of food, improve its nutritional value, and improve the texture and flavor of food.
4. Effect: L-lysine supplementation usually focuses more on its promotion of protein synthesis, which helps maintain the health of muscle tissue and enhance immune function.
It is an essential amino acid required in the diets of swine, poultry and most other animal species.
It is mainly produced by fermentation using strains of corynebacteria, especially Corynebacterium glutamicum, which comprises a multi-step process including fermentation, cell separation by centrifugation or ultrafiltration, product separation and purification, evaporation and drying.
Because of L-Lysine great importance, efforts are constantly being made in order to improve the fermentation processes, comprising strain and process development as well as media optimization and downstream processing are used for the production of L-lysine and other L-amino acids, operation in mixing tank or air lift fermenters.
Generally it is mainly used in Poultry & Livestock feed industry as the supplement of essential amino acids for poultry, livestock and other animals.

Application
1. Widely used in metallurgy, chemical and other industries, mainly used for smelting vanadium iron.
2. As an alloy additive, accounting for more than 80% of the total consumption of vanadium pentoxid.
3. Followed by catalysts, i.e. catalysts, accounting for about 10% of the total.
4. Inorganic chemicals, chemical reagents, enamels and magnetic materials accounting for about 10% of the total.
