Alkaline Protease Supplement For Animal Health Feed

Alkaline protease, also known as serine protease, commonly includes two types: one is Novo protease and the other is Carsberg protease. Their properties and structures are similar, consisting of 275 and 274 amino acid residues respectively, each formed by a single polypeptide chain. They remain stable within pH 6–10 but rapidly inactivate when pH falls below 6 or exceeds 11. Their active center contains serine, hence the name serine protease. They can not only hydrolyze peptide bonds but also exhibit the ability to hydrolyze amide bonds, ester bonds, as well as perform transesterification and transpeptidation. They appear as tan-colored powder or partially in microgranular form.
