Products Description
Guar gum or guaran, a natural food additive derived from the endosperm of seeds from the guar bean which mainly grows in India and Pakistan.
It is commonly used as a thickener, emulsifier and stabilizer in ice cream with the European food additive number E412.
This ingredient is keto friendly, vegan, gluten-free and commonly used as a substitute of xanthan gum in food.
Also, we have industrial grade guar gum, and it's hot sale.

Specification
Guar Gum, also known as guaran, is a natural food additive derived from the endosperm of guar beans. It is a non-ionic galactomannan polysaccharide widely recognized for its excellent thickening, emulsifying, and stabilizing properties. Classified under the European food additive number E412, it is vegan, gluten-free, keto-friendly, and serves as a popular alternative to xanthan gum.
We offer both food-grade and industrial-grade guar gum, with the latter currently experiencing high market demand.
Production Process
Guar gum is extracted through a refined process:
Dehulling & Separation: Removal of husk and germ from guar seeds
Milling & Hydration: Crushed endosperm is hydrated and subjected to pressurized hydrolysis
Precipitation & Purification: Ethanol (20%) is used to precipitate the gum, followed by centrifugation
Drying & Milling: Final product is dried and ground into a fine powder
Physicochemical Properties
Appearance: White to pale yellowish-brown powder
Odor: Odorless
Composition:
Polysaccharides: 75%–85%
Protein: 5%–6%
Fiber: 2%–3%
Ash: ≈1%
Solubility: Soluble in hot and cold water; insoluble in organic solvents (e.g., ethanol)
Viscosity: Extremely high viscosity upon full hydration; shear-thinning (pseudoplastic) behavior
Thermal Stability: Prolonged high temperatures may reduce viscosity
Compatibility: Good stability with inorganic salts; non-Newtonian fluid characteristics
Applications
Food Industry
Dairy: Ice cream, yogurt, cheese
Bakery: Gluten-free bread, cakes
Beverages: Vegetable juices, kefir
Condiments: Salad dressings, sauces, gravies
Others: Soups, puddings, breakfast cereals
Cosmetics Industry
Used in shampoos, hair gels, and skincare products for viscosity control and stabilization
Pharmaceutical Industry
Acts as a binder, disintegrant, and viscosity-enhancing agent in tablet and capsule formulations
Oil Drilling Industry
Functions as a viscosifier and fluid-loss control agent in drilling muds
